History of Somerville College AFC
Only admitting men in 1994, Somerville's impact on college football might be expected to be limited. However this is not the case, Somerville were runners-up in the first season of the new Premier division, and are one of only 2 teams from outside the Premier division to have won Cuppers. This triumph came in 2003/04 - a season when Somerville added the division 2 title to their trophy cabinet to achieve a "mini-double". The first Somerville player to gain a Blue was Kevin Costello in 2000, he went on to captain the Blues in the 2002/03 season.
